Advent is the season when Christians anticipate and prepare for Christmas. It’s a time for counting down, remembering the reason for the season, and getting ready for the celebrations that are to come.
It's also a time to slow down, reflect, and prepare hearts and minds for the spiritual meaning of Christmas, rather than focusing on the commercial focus the season has become culturally.
During this time, Christians focus on hope, peace, joy, and love through prayer, reflection, and acts of kindness.
But slowing down and creating time to spend alone with God takes effort, especially with young families and other demands on your time.
If we aren’t intentional about making a place for Jesus in our holidays, the next few weeks will pass, and Christmas will soon be gone.
If you want to have time to reflect on all God has done over the last year and prepare for all He wants to do in the future, you have to make it a priority.
We prepared a 25-Day Devotional to help you and your family make that priority real during this Christmas season.
Each day, it offers ideas for you to “Look Up” to God, “Look In” to your family, and “Look Out” to your neighborhoods and communities. This helps you to grow personally in your faith, lead your families into a deeper faith, and serve your communities during the time of year when many people are searching for Christ.
We invite you into the Christmas story to experience it through the eyes of those who actually lived it. Our hope is that you get a new and deeper understanding of Christmas and a deeper faith that grows even more into the new year.

The word “Advent” means “arrival.” Leading up to Christmas, the Advent season celebrates Jesus’ first arrival and reminds us that He will soon come again.
